In the 17th minute Karl Vinström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magnus Walmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Vinström in the 25th minute of play forced Malå's goalkeeper Magnus Walmarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Tord Bålström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Sundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to BGD 517 getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bertil Ödman hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Sten Hake sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Sundberg skillfully saved the ball. When Lars-Erik Rönn fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malå's protests and gave Lars-Erik Rönn a yellow card for diving instead. Lars-Erik Rönn hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Malå defense, Karl Vinström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magnus Walmarsson. The Malå fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magnus Walmarsson should have stopped the shot. If Martin Alfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magnus Walmarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Vinström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl Vinström made a kick off. BGD 517's Fred Grelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Lars-Erik Rönn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Grelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Walmarsson having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Tord Bålström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BGD 517's Hugo Sundberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Börje Torstensson charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börje Torstensson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in BGD 517 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Tord Bålström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertil Ödman's late challenge caught a Malå's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertil Ödman helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes BGD 517 got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Ödman. Martin Alfors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Sundberg having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Karl Vinström rounded Malå's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Tord Bålström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Martin Alfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Hugo Sundberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magnus Walmarsson was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Karl Vinström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karl Vinström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in BGD 517's zone, Tord Bålström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Sundberg came out of the goal and Tord Bålström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Karl Vinström came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the BGD 517 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Vinström couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. BGD 517 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
