Tony Öfverman hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Joel Källberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Salqvist in the 10th minute of play. If Jack Lennartsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Källberg came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Pungspark's Bernt Salqvist. But to his dismay, Bernt Salqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of FC Pungspark booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Björnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Knut Hybbert sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hammarby IF's Joel Källberg didn't even have to move. When Adrian Björnberg fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammarby IF's protests and gave Adrian Björnberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Melker Lind. If Jack Lennartsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernt Salqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Joel Källberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Källberg made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jack Lennartsson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Hammarby IF getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ted Jernberg hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, Hammarby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Kjellkvist to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

FC Pungspark's Bernt Salqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hammarby IF's Stig-Ove Hedlund got a free kick in the 58th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melker Lind during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 64 minutes into the game, Henry Gullesson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hammarby IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Pungspark the free kick. Jack Lennartsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Källberg having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Andréas Sundén reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Viktor Ivarsson. The goal made the score 3-1. In the 82nd minute Jack Lennartsson suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 82 minutes, Tony Öfverman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammarby IF and the FC Pungspark players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Pungspark booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Öfverman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melker Lind recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ted Jernberg placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a defensive mix-up in FC Pungspark's zone, Melker Lind stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Ivarsson came out of the goal and Melker Lind tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viktor Ivarsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melker Lind went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Pungspark fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hammarby IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
