Allan Rolfsson started the match with the kick off. Georg Svartengren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvald Broberg's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Osvald Broberg made a precise shot to the right of Georg Svartengren. Vackfors IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Sven-Ove Skark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Rolfsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yngve Siggman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Porjus got a freekick which was hit by Ian Carlsson. 15 minutes into the match, Vackfors IK's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Broberg came free, but Georg Svartengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melker Sandberg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Magne Törnqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Broberg in the 20th minute of play forced Vackfors IK's goalkeeper Georg Svartengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Porjus booed when Vackfors IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Törnqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vackfors IK's Georg Svartengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthon Söderquist in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvald Broberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Osvald Broberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Georg Svartengren made a huge save. Osvald Broberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Georg Svartengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Anthon Söderquist fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Georg Svartengren, passed just outside the right post. In the 64th minute, Allan Rolfsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yngve Siggman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Broberg in the 68th minute of play forced Vackfors IK's goalkeeper Georg Svartengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yngve Siggman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Rolfsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Allan Rolfsson made a precise shot to the right of Yngve Siggman. Porjus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Yngve Siggman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melker Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Vackfors IK's Georg Svartengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Broberg in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Allan Rolfsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vackfors IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Rolfsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yngve Siggman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Allan Rolfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, Vackfors IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Törnqvist to maneuver through the defense. Osvald Broberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Vackfors IK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Porjus's performance. The match ended with a win for Porjus.
