Niclas Bergren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Åstorp's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Siggesson came free, but Niclas Bergren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Folke Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joakim Nilsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Tunström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Niclas Bergren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, André Tunström notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Åstorp's Niclas Bergren. Niclas Bergren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Tunström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niclas Bergren having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Sävedalen IK's Karl Siggesson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niclas Bergren. Niclas Bergren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl Siggesson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niclas Bergren. That made the score 3-1 in the 46 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Karl Siggesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Åstorp's Alfred Håkansson in the 61st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Joakim Nilsson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sävedalen IK through an amazing save. Alfred Håkansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sävedalen IK's Joakim Nilsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Sävedalen IK from getting a goal against them. Niclas Bergren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Tunström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 73 minutes, Karl Siggesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sävedalen IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Siggesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, André Tunström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niclas Bergren. Åstorp's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Tunström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Folke Olsson got free with Joakim Nilsson in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Folke Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sävedalen IK's zone, Folke Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Nilsson came out of the goal and Folke Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Åstorp's Folke Olsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joakim Nilsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Sävedalen IK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Folke Olsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
