The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 11 minutes, Mats Blomkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hällaström and the Allvarligt Talat BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albert Överman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When August Rosin came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Hällaström fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Rosin couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Rune Bivall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Stig Bure made a huge save. When August Rosin came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Hällaström fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Rosin couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, August Rosin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hällaström's supporters rose to their feet, but August Rosin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Bure breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig Bure stood somewhat misplaced when Bengt-Rune Bivall came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 30 minute. In the 33rd minute, Herbert Valler made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Rosen. Hällaström's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Stig Bure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Rune Bivall in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, Bengt-Rune Bivall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stig Bure was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Allvarligt Talat BK booed when Hällaström was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Blomkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Rosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Överman, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers August Rosin in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stig Bure saved Allvarligt Talat BK from getting behind. August Rosin scored 3-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig Bure, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Hällaström's August Rosin got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Mats Blomkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig Bure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from August Rosin, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute Bengt-Rune Bivall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Bure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Bengt-Rune Bivall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Allvarligt Talat BK's Stig Bure was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Allvarligt Talat BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Bivall came free, but Stig Bure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Rosin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Bure having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Allvarligt Talat BK got a freekick which was hit by Reine Vennerström. Hällaström's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Erik Kråk in the 93rd minute. There was no doubt that Hällaström were the better team. Hällaström's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
