Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Veddige's Alfons Hökqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonardo Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sakarias Sjögren struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Peder Sävström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Växjö FF. Peder Sävström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakarias Sjögren in the 11th minute of play. Sakarias Sjögren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Brolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peder Sävström having to interfere. Veddige's Peder Sävström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Veddige from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sakarias Sjögren in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peder Sävström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peder Sävström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakarias Sjögren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Brolin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The long shot by Rudolf Åberg in the 33rd minute really tested Peder Sävström's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Veddige's Alfons Hökqvist got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Brolin got free with Peder Sävström in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peder Sävström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakarias Sjögren in the 39th minute of play. Leonardo Brolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peder Sävström having to interfere. Valter Lidberg's late challenge caught a Växjö FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valter Lidberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Veddige was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Lidberg to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Brolin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Peder Sävström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Veddige getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alfons Hökqvist hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sakarias Sjögren made a kick off. After some careless play in the Veddige defense, Sakarias Sjögren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peder Sävström. The Veddige fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peder Sävström should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the match, Veddige's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Sjögren came free, but Peder Sävström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Leonardo Brolin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute Sakarias Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Sävström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Sakarias Sjögren put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Peder Sävström. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sakarias Sjögren in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peder Sävström saved Veddige from getting behind. Leonardo Brolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peder Sävström having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Leonardo Brolin notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Veddige's Peder Sävström. Peder Sävström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonardo Brolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Peder Sävström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Växjö FF booed when Veddige was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfons Hökqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sakarias Sjögren came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Växjö FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sakarias Sjögren couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Leonardo Brolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Sävström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Växjö FF fully deserved thier win.
