After a rather tough play, Sunnemo's Ulf Soned got a free kick in the 10th minute. Dan Ekrot struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Tor Hägglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunnemo. In the 13th match minute, Mongo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Lindström to maneuver through the defense. Ulf Soned hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Isak Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarl Mager in the 30th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Sunnemo got a freekick which was hit by Eric Igelström. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mongo FC's goalkeeper Tor Hägglund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jarl Mager struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Isak Hansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mongo FC. Mongo FC's Tor Hägglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Täman in the 40th minute of play. Mongo FC's Orvar Ödman got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Mongo FC's Leif Lindström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 51st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Isak Hansson but with some difficulty. Ingvar Biörkman hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes, Sunnemo's Kurt Wallmark shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tor Hägglund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sunnemo reached it. If Emil Täman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tor Hägglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Ekrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Västerberg during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sunnemo booed when Mongo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Västerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Dan Ekrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Hägglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sunnemo's Dan Ekrot got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Sunnemo getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ulf Soned hit a great ball. Sunnemo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Ekrot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tor Hägglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Emil Täman came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Sunnemo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Täman couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
