Sven-Erik Vallgren stood somewhat misplaced when Sven-Edvin Jansson came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 24 minute. In the 26th match minute, Mellansel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Ekenberg to maneuver through the defense. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mellansel! The referee gave Aneby a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fred Öberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mellansel's Evert Apelkvist. 1-1. The supporters of Mellansel booed when Aneby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Stenman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Aneby's Fred Öberg got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Sven-Erik Vallgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Sven-Erik Vallgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatan Walmarsson's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The supporters of Mellansel booed when Aneby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kent Ekenberg hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Marko Stephansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Evert Apelkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Aneby's zone, Jonatan Walmarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Erik Vallgren came out of the goal and Jonatan Walmarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Lindgren during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patrik Lindgren hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Sven-Erik Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Jonatan Walmarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Erik Vallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sven-Edvin Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Erik Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Walmarsson in the 90th minute of the match. Mellansel walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
