Spectators: 5520 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 20) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sonny Moberg got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Alexander Forsell fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nicklas Jonasson, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Malungsfors's Nicklas Jonasson got control of the ball when Yngve Hedkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arvika's Bengt Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl-Magnus Björkman struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Nicklas Jonasson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arvika. After 19 minutes, Oscar Lund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malungsfors and the Arvika players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Malungsfors getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Oscar Lund hit a great ball. Charlie Svensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Moberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Yngve Hedkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicklas Jonasson having to interfere. Nicklas Jonasson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yngve Hedkvist's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Wiktor Nyberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malungsfors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arvika the free kick. After some careless play in the Malungsfors defense, Bengt Lind kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicklas Jonasson. The Malungsfors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicklas Jonasson should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute, Karl-Magnus Björkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44thth minute of the game Yngve Hedkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malungsfors's Nicklas Jonasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Arvika's Yngve Hedkvist in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Malungsfors's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yngve Hedkvist to make the kick off. Charlie Svensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Malungsfors booed when Arvika was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Wallin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Michel Brovall came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Arvika fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Brovall couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Arvika fully deserved thier win.
