Jörn Ekman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the game, Greger Håning cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kasper Hjeltman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Lerdala FF's Charles Drake got a free kick in the 10th minute. Muskö IK's Jarl Nyqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Lerdala FF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Lennart Vallgren hit a great ball. Jörn Ekman made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Joakim Strömqvist sent off a good shot on target. If Jarl Nyqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Muskö IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Walmarsson to maneuver through the defense. Kasper Hjeltman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joakim Askstedt's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Joakim Strömqvist struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Jörn Ekman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muskö IK. A collision led to Lerdala FF getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Valentin Bruse hit a great ball. When the match had been going on for 40 minutes Stefan Christoffersson shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Jörn Ekman when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 41st minute Jarl Nyqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Ekman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muskö IK's Joakim Strömqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Muskö IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Ekström to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Bruse was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joakim Askstedt made a kick off. Greger Håning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Kasper Hjeltman made a huge save. Tom Lindström charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tom Lindström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jarl Nyqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Joakim Strömqvist came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Muskö IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Strömqvist couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Jarl Nyqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muskö IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarl Nyqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörn Ekman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lennart Vallgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Muskö IK's goalkeeper Kasper Hjeltman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greger Håning. Ulf Lindgren's late challenge caught a Lerdala FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulf Lindgren helped the player get up and apologised. Ulf Lindgren kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Muskö IK's Kasper Hjeltman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Askstedt in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Joakim Askstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 87 minutes, Joakim Askstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lerdala FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joakim Askstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jörn Ekman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarl Nyqvist in the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Greger Arenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lennart Vallgren fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lerdala FF's protests and gave Lennart Vallgren a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lerdala FF's Lennart Vallgren got a free kick in the 97th minute. Despite being the better team, Muskö IK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
