After a rather tough play, Skelleftehamn IF's Klas Lundqvist got a free kick in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kjell Qvarnström got free with Anton Malmberg in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boris Jonasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Malmberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Jonasson in the 13th minute of play forced Skelleftehamn IF's goalkeeper Anton Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Kjell Qvarnström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Malmberg. Skelleftehamn IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjell Qvarnström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Verner Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjell Qvarnström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lillhärdal FK's Jan-Olof Brummer got a free kick in the 25th minute. Leif Grep was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Skelleftehamn IF's zone, Kjell Qvarnström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Malmberg came out of the goal and Kjell Qvarnström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Kjell Qvarnström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lillhärdal FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Qvarnström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Leo Stabbe fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lillhärdal FK's protests and gave Leo Stabbe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Leo Stabbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Boris Jonasson made the kick off in the second half. When Leo Stabbe was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 51 minutes had been played. Rutger Vennerdal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manfred Siöberg having to make a save. If Rutger Vennerdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Verner Vester left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skelleftehamn IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 92nd match minute, Lillhärdal FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Jonasson to maneuver through the defense. Lillhärdal FK's Manfred Siöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rutger Vennerdal in the 98th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
