Holmsveden's Olof Clementsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Björck in the 7th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 9th minute when Jörn Björck elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Jörn Björck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Olof Clementsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 minutes, Sune Bohlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holmsveden and the Stampen Lejonet players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Stampen Lejonet. Ove Smedfeldt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olof Clementsson. 0-3. The Stampen Lejonet fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Stampen Lejonet's Jörn Björck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th minute, Greger Henriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stampen Lejonet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Sigman in the 35th minute of play forced Stampen Lejonet's goalkeeper Alvar Algren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Stampen Lejonet's Alvar Algren got control of the ball when Oskar Kämpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Holmsveden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Alströmmer to maneuver through the defense. Greger Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Olof Clementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jörn Björck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olof Clementsson was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Holmsveden's Lars Sigman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvar Algren. Alvar Algren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jörn Björck made a kick off. Stampen Lejonet's Greger Henriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the game, Oskar Kämpe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Alvar Algren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alvar Algren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskar Kämpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Stampen Lejonet's Eric Wikander got a free kick in the 65th minute. Conny Forssberg's late challenge caught a Holmsveden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conny Forssberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Stampen Lejonet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conny Forssberg to maneuver through the defense. If André Alströmmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Lars Sigman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvar Algren. Stampen Lejonet's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Sigman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. In the 83rdth minute of the game Jörn Björck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmsveden's Olof Clementsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Greger Henriksson got free with Olof Clementsson in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olof Clementsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 93rd minute, which inside left pole to 3-6.
