Spectators: 5668 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 0) Jens-Erik Lang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Gummeson having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Stig-Åke Höijer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leif Näver was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Stig-Åke Höijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Leif Näver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stig-Åke Höijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Jim Valler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Stig-Åke Höijer came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Nora IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Åke Höijer couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Nora IF's Marko Hedman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leif Näver narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Edmund Kristiansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yngve Gummeson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sven-Erik Ekenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Marko Hedman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. The Leif Näver was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Nora IF's Valdemar Giliusson has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 42nd minute. Sakarias Hake kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Nora IF's Niklas Österberg tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Leif Näver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Höijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marko Hedman got free with Leif Näver in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stig-Åke Höijer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leif Näver read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Hofors's Leif Näver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Hofors from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute of the match, Marko Hedman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leif Näver was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 87th minute, Stig-Åke Höijer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leif Näver made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Marko Hedman sent off a good shot on target. Nora IF played a much better game than Hofors and deserved their victory. The Hofors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
