Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jens-Erik Lang took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Arne Ekström got free with Leif Näver in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Mikaelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Näver having to interfere. Öxabäck's Stig-Arne Ekström got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hofors's Jens-Erik Lang got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eddie Bergqvist fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Öxabäck's protests and gave Eddie Bergqvist a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Öxabäck fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Öxabäck:s Christer Nordin showed great skill when he stopped Kjell Malm:s penalty. 23 minutes into the match, Kjell Malm notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Öxabäck's Christer Nordin. Christer Nordin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the match, Hofors's Edmund Kristiansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christer Nordin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Edmund Kristiansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Christer Nordin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stig-Arne Ekström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Leif Näver when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Hofors's goal looked a bit too open when David Mikaelsson came free, but Leif Näver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stig-Arne Ekström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Leif Näver when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Mikaelsson made a kick off. Leif Näver stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Arne Ekström's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, David Mikaelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leif Näver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Mikaelsson in the 56th minute of play. Öxabäck's Christer Nordin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Öxabäck from getting a goal against them. Edmund Kristiansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Stig-Arne Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edwin Vestberg fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hofors's protests and gave Edwin Vestberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hofors's Edwin Vestberg got a free kick in the 87th minute. Egil Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Leif Näver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Arne Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Edmund Kristiansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stig-Arne Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Edmund Kristiansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hofors's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmund Kristiansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Nordin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hofors walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
