But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Michael Rosen couldn't finish the play. After 15 played minutes Torparcanons IF got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Walmarsson. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Ingvar Lundin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Birger Olsson to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute Kim Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Hasselqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the game, Niklas Vestlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torparcanons IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hönö BK the free kick. In the 35th match minute, Torparcanons IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Vestlund to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 40 minutes, Olov Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torparcanons IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torparcanons IF's Olov Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hönö BK's Bernt Vennersten got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Olle Hasselqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Holmgren in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olov Holmgren to make the kick off. Olov Holmgren scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olle Hasselqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kim Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torparcanons IF's Olov Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olov Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olle Hasselqvist having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Torparcanons IF got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Walmarsson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olov Holmgren got free with Olle Hasselqvist in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Olov Holmgren could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Olle Hasselqvist however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Hönö BK's Bernt Vennersten got a free kick in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Gustav Tolsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hönö BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torparcanons IF the free kick. Gustav Tolsson hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If Kim Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torparcanons IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
