Spectators: 5664 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) Rikard Glanselius started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Leif Näver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rikard Glanselius in the 3rd minute of play. Kjell Olsson's late challenge caught a Hofors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kjell Olsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ruda BF's Kjell Olsson got a free kick in the 5th minute. Kjell Malm, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Lang in the 7th minute of play forced Ruda BF's goalkeeper Arne Lång to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Kristianssons short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Arne Lång to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute Jens-Erik Lang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Lång saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Edmund Kristiansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Jens-Erik Lang came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Hofors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Erik Lang couldn't finish the play. Morgan Klint received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Leif Näver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Näver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Glanselius, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Sakarias Hake kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes, Ruda BF's Carl Ekblom shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leif Näver came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ruda BF reached it. Arne Lång stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Erik Lang's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes, Roy Sundberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ruda BF and the Hofors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Roy Sundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Hofors's Kjell Malm broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rikard Glanselius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Näver having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens-Erik Lang to make the kick off. Hofors's Leif Näver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rikard Glanselius in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hofors's Jim Valler got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Rikard Glanselius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruda BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hofors the free kick. After 63 played minutes Ruda BF got a freekick which was hit by Carl Ekblom. When Morgan Klint came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ruda BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morgan Klint couldn't finish the play. Kjell Malm kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Rikard Glanselius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rikard Glanselius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Näver having to interfere. After 85 minutes, Sven-Erik Ekenberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hofors and the Ruda BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sven-Erik Ekenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Morgan Klints short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Leif Näver to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ruda BF's Rikard Glanselius got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leif Näver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morgan Klint in the 99th minute. Ruda BF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
