But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Mickelsson couldn't finish the play. If Oliver Hedberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Åke Rosin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Glad in the 28th minute of play forced Horred FF's goalkeeper Kalle Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils-Erik Jönsätt hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Sven-Åke Rosin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horred FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Åke Rosin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Sjö breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 minutes Horred FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Patrik Andreasson who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Oliver Hedberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mats Sjö. That made the score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. Tor Asklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tor Asklund to make the kick off. Jonas Glad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Lundin having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Horred FF's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Asklund came free, but Kalle Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Fernström charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Fernström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Horred FF got a freekick which was hit by Roger Fernström. Jonas Glad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Glad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Tor Asklund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kalle Lundin was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Sven-Åke Rosin made a precise shot to the right of Mats Sjö. Källö-knippla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 87th minute of the match Patrik Andreasson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kalle Lundin skillfully saved the ball. Kalle Lundin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor Asklund's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Horred FF's zone, Jonas Glad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Lundin came out of the goal and Jonas Glad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kalle Lundin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Gabrielsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Glad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Lundin having to interfere. Stig-Arne Mickelsson's late challenge caught a Källö-knippla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Arne Mickelsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Horred FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Arne Mickelsson to maneuver through the defense. Horred FF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
