The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Umeå FK's Kristian Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Kruuse in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Kruuse in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristian Abrahamsson saved Umeå FK from getting behind. Rikard Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes, Vinberg's Roger Rudkvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kristian Abrahamsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vinberg reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Kruuse in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristian Abrahamsson saved Umeå FK from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Rikard Gunnarsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vinberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Kristian Abrahamsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Kruuse, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 34 minutes of play, Vinberg's Rikard Gunnarsson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristian Abrahamsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leo Åman hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Umeå FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lars Levander was slow to take the kick. During this time Vinberg's players had a chance to rest. Jan-Olof Lövgren made a great header on Vinberg's corner, it was just that Umeå FK's Kristian Abrahamsson managed to reach the ball for a save. Hannes Brander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Fredriksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Umeå FK's Robin Fredriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Sandberg kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Rikard Gunnarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Fredrik Rosendahl fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kristian Abrahamsson, passed just outside the right post. Kristian Abrahamsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rikard Gunnarsson in the 67th minute. Kristian Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Kruuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Kruuse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristian Abrahamsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Rikard Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hannes Brander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Fredriksson charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robin Fredriksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Kruuse in the 87th minute of play forced Umeå FK's goalkeeper Kristian Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rikard Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Kruuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vinberg had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
