Roland Josefsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 10 minutes of play, Gunnarn RK's Olov Blixt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian Åström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Aplared's zone, Malcolm Sjöström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Åström came out of the goal and Malcolm Sjöström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Olov Blixt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ian Åström. Aplared's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olov Blixt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Gunnarn RK's Malcolm Sjöström in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aplared's Ian Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Sjöström in the 40th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrik Fransson to make the kick off. Andy Hallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Josefsson in the 55th minute of play. Ian Åström came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Gunnarn RK's Olov Blixt. But to his dismay, Olov Blixt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 62 minutes into the game, Malcolm Sjöström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ian Åström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th match minute, Gunnarn RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Ekerot to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Patrik Fransson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andy Hallgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Olov Blixt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Åström having to interfere. Ian Åström made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Malcolm Sjöström sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the match, Aplared's goalkeeper Ian Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Unesson. The supporters of Gunnarn RK booed when Aplared was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Smed didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Gallberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ian Åström. Aplared's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Ian Åström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 96th minute Patrik Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Hallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
