The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmund Ekrot got free with Benjamin Kämpe in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Holger Mattsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benjamin Kämpe came out and tried to block the shot, but Holger Mattsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. After 10 played minutes FC Marcelona got a freekick which was hit by Emil Wahlnäs. Benjamin Kämpe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Holger Mattsson's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Mantorp FF's Billy Bäcklin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mats Strömqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th match minute, Mantorp FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Dalberg to maneuver through the defense. Mats Strömqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Gummeson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egon Njurenius during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Marcelona getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Egon Njurenius hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, FC Marcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patric Pettersson to maneuver through the defense. Mantorp FF's Billy Bäcklin suffered a concussion after 34 minutes and had to leave the field. 35 minutes into the game, Conny Gullesson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Marcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mantorp FF the free kick. Conny Gullesson kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Manfred Gummeson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mantorp FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfred Gummeson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Holger Mattsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 47 played minutes Mantorp FF got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Biörling. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Gummeson to make the kick off. Holger Mattsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Kämpe having to interfere. Holger Mattsson struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Benjamin Kämpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Marcelona. Emil Ekelund hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Manfred Gummeson got in the 61st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mats Strömqvist handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 64 minutes into the game, FC Marcelona's Holger Mattsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
