After a rather tough play, Mantorp FF's Björn Dalberg got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Hjalmar Biörling kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Rolf Strandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Kämpe having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Vennersten in the 10th minute of play forced Mantorp FF's goalkeeper Benjamin Kämpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Rolf Strandberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Kämpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Henric Vennersten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfred Gummeson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Haström having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Henric Vennersten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Kämpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henric Vennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Rolf Strandberg came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Backyard Kickers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolf Strandberg couldn't finish the play. Henric Vennersten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rudolf Abelsson hit a great ball. Manfred Gummeson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Olof Haström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfred Gummeson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Olof Haström made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billy Bäcklin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mantorp FF's goalkeeper Benjamin Kämpe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benjamin Kämpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henric Vennersten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Lundqvist during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Backyard Kickers getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Walter Lundqvist hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Adrian Forss shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olof Haström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rolf Strandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Kämpe having to make a save. Manfred Gummeson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Olof Haström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Billy Bäcklin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mantorp FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Bäcklin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Haström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Backyard Kickers's Olof Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Gummeson in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Henric Vennersten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin Kämpe. Henric Vennersten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Henric Vennersten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manfred Gummeson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the game, Mantorp FF's Manfred Gummeson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olof Haström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the match was over Backyard Kickers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mantorp FF throughout the match.
