In the 8th minute, Arne Unesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Isak Berggren came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Melings ILF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isak Berggren couldn't finish the play. AC MILAN's Jan Vallengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isak Berggren in the 12th minute of play. Isak Berggren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Vallengren having to make a save. Tobias Billberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Unesson in the 16th minute of play. Gustav Wennerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Billberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Wennerström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Isak Berggren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Aron Broberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melings ILF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 35 played minutes Melings ILF got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Bank. Gustav Wennerström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Wennerström in the 42nd minute of play forced Melings ILF's goalkeeper Tobias Billberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Melings ILF defense, Ludwig Springfält kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Billberg. The Melings ILF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Billberg should have stopped the shot. Filip Adelsköld charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Adelsköld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Melings ILF. David Gustavsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jan Vallengren. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

AC MILAN's Svante Ahlgren got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustav Wennerström struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Tobias Billberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC MILAN. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludwig Springfält in the 60th minute of play forced Melings ILF's goalkeeper Tobias Billberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aron Broberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isak Berggren didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 68th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Isak Berggren ran dejectedly back to his position. After a defensive mix-up in AC MILAN's zone, Aron Broberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Vallengren came out of the goal and Aron Broberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustav Wennerström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Billberg having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gustav Wennerström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Billberg was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Melings ILF's goalkeeper Tobias Billberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Melings ILF's Aron Broberg got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Bernt Bocklund fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC MILAN's protests and gave Bernt Bocklund a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC MILAN fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty!
