Nils Västerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Michel Billberg got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 11th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. After a rather tough play, IkStym's Birger Haglund got a free kick in the 12th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Michael Jefferson's Leif Olofsson tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Pär Trillkott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pär Trillkott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rudolf Grep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Michael Jefferson getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Evert Wallin hit a great ball. Elof Grönlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Lund having to interfere. Eddie Lund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Birger Haglund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IkStym's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Haglund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Billberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Michel Billberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Grep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pär Trillkott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rudolf Grep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf Smefeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Lund having to interfere. After 68 played minutes IkStym got a freekick which was hit by Agne Östlund. Michel Billberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudolf Grep read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, IkStym's Ulrik Vallman got a free kick in the 70th minute. IkStym's Alf Smefeldt got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Jefferson's Eddie Lund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Michael Jefferson from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as IkStym's Alf Smefeldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eddie Lund. That made the score 0-1 after 76 minutes of play. If Elof Grönlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute of the match, Alf Smefeldt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eddie Lund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Michael Jefferson's zone, Alf Smefeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Lund came out of the goal and Alf Smefeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Göran Tunberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IkStym's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Michael Jefferson the free kick. The supporters of Michael Jefferson booed when IkStym was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Tunberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alf Smefeldt came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the IkStym fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alf Smefeldt couldn't finish the play. IkStym's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
