Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 50) In the 8th match minute, Åre FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Pååk to maneuver through the defense. Lennart Hägert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Håkan Skager when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Håkan Skager made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Sture Bern sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Sture Bern took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Håkan Skager to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Leif Wallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åre FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Leif Wallmark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Olof Kilstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, Åre FF's Leif Wallmark sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Olof Kilstedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Jan-Olof Springfält had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 26 minutes, Olov Wenerdahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åre FF and the Klövedal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Klövedal booed when Åre FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Wenerdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Magnusson in the 30th minute of play forced Klövedal's goalkeeper Jan-Olof Kilstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Olof Kilstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Wallmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Christian Magnusson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Klövedal's Jan-Olof Kilstedt. Jan-Olof Kilstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 36 played minutes Klövedal got a freekick which was hit by Sture Bern. Leif Wallmark struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jan-Olof Kilstedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åre FF. Leif Wallmark scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Olof Kilstedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Klövedal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Jan-Olof Kilstedt went to the wrong direction when Wiktor Biörk was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Christian Magnusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jan-Olof Kilstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Åre FF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leif Wallmark stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leif Wallmark in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Olof Kilstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Olof Kilstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Wenerdahl in the 60th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leif Wallmark in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Olof Kilstedt saved Klövedal from getting behind. When Leif Wallmark came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Åre FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Wallmark couldn't finish the play. Jan-Olof Kilstedt guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Jan-Olof Kilstedt didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Christian Magnusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jan-Olof Kilstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Leif Wallmark tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jan-Olof Kilstedt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Richard Björklund fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Klövedal's protests and gave Richard Björklund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th match minute, Klövedal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Björklund to maneuver through the defense. Åre FF's Wiktor Biörk shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 99th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jan-Olof Kilstedt but with some difficulty. When the match was over Åre FF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Klövedal throughout the match.
