The referee ignored Leeds United FC's protests and gave Josef Jakobsson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Leeds United FC's Josef Jakobsson got a free kick in the 14th minute. Edvin Julin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Dahlberg in the 16th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Lennart Siggman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lennart Siggman was the one to do the kick off. Per-Oskar Sävström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin Julin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Lennart Siggman struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Simon Thidén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leeds United FC. When Georg Gernberg came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Leeds United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Gernberg couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ljungsbro defense, Georg Gernberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Thidén. The Ljungsbro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Thidén should have stopped the shot. Ljungsbro's Simon Thidén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Jakobsson in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Leeds United FC's Josef Jakobsson got a free kick in the 67th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Georg Gernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lennart Siggman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lennart Siggman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ljungsbro getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Einar Offendahl hit a great ball. Georg Gernberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Thidén having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Boris Johnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georg Gernberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Thidén having to make a save. In the 93rd match minute, Ljungsbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Ferm to maneuver through the defense. Lennart Siggman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Simon Thidén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leeds United FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
