With an all-out effort, Pride FC's Lars Fors threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fritz Paulin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 6th minute, one of Morjärv IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Morjärv IK. Maximilian Alströmmer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Fritz Paulin struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Lars Fors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pride FC. If Lennart Nyqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pride FC's zone, Eric Nyman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Bern came out of the goal and Eric Nyman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fritz Paulin in the 19th minute of play forced Morjärv IK's goalkeeper Lars Fors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Kjellbom got free with Lars Fors in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Eric Nyman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Granberg in the 30th minute of play forced Pride FC's goalkeeper Bertil Bern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Fritz Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Fors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pride FC booed when Morjärv IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilgot Granberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Nilsson's late challenge caught a Morjärv IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralf Nilsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Pride FC's zone, Eric Nyman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilgot Granberg to make the kick off. Bertil Bern showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Anton Kjellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Lars Fors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fritz Paulin in the 66th minute of play forced Morjärv IK's goalkeeper Lars Fors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fritz Paulin charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fritz Paulin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eric Nyman came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bertil Bern could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Eric Nyman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morjärv IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Nyman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertil Bern breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fritz Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lars Fors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fritz Paulin came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Pride FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Paulin couldn't finish the play. After having played for 78 minutes, Vilgot Granberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morjärv IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilgot Granberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Kjellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fritz Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lars Fors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Anton Kjellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pride FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Kjellbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Fors breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Morjärv IK's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Paulin came free, but Lars Fors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Morjärv IK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pride FC.
