Svensbyn FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conny Strömberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmie Jansson in the 12th minute of play forced Pride FC's goalkeeper Bertil Bern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmie Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Bern having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Ralf Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Svensbyn FK's Bengt-Arne Mossberg got control of the ball when Anton Kjellbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Conny Strömberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Bern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fritz Paulin to strike the kick off in the second half. During the 51st minute of the match Jack Pilgren completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jack Pilgren a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 52 played minutes Svensbyn FK got a freekick which was hit by Jack Pilgren. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fritz Paulin in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Arne Mossberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kjell Ennegren charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell Ennegren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Conny Strömberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Bertil Bern when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jimmie Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bertil Bern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pride FC booed when Svensbyn FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmie Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pride FC's zone, Jimmie Jansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Bern came out of the goal and Jimmie Jansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ralf Nilsson hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Pride FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Strömberg came free, but Bertil Bern reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Svensbyn FK's Bengt Albom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bertil Bern narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pride FC's Axel Alströmer got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Jimmie Jansson fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Svensbyn FK's protests and gave Jimmie Jansson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pride FC booed when Svensbyn FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmie Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertil Bern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Albom in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Svensbyn FK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Albom. Bengt Albom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Bern having to interfere. Svensbyn FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
