Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ivar Örtlund got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vilgot Granberg in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörn Karlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the game, Lennart Nyqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morjärv IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vallberga the free kick. Vallberga's Patric Olofsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Morjärv IK. If Morgan Västerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Morjärv IK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Bengt-Åke Haegg hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Vallberga's Patric Olofsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 42nd match minute, Morjärv IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Lööf to maneuver through the defense. Morgan Västerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Fors having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Vilgot Granberg made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Vallberga's zone, Eric Nyman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Karlberg came out of the goal and Eric Nyman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 57 in the game by Eric Nyman from a close distance when the talented Jörn Karlberg managed to make a qualified save. Vallberga's players were relieved. Lars Fors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morgan Västerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Vilgot Granberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Olle Holmgren hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Vilgot Granberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morjärv IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilgot Granberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörn Karlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 played minutes Vallberga got a freekick which was hit by Patric Olofsson. In the 80th minute of the match Ted Stenberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jörn Karlberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Vallberga's Morgan Västerberg in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Morjärv IK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute of the match Morjärv IK got a corner. Vallberga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ted Stenberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 94 minutes of play, Morjärv IK's Vilgot Granberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörn Karlberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Morjärv IK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Morjärv IK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
