In the 10th match minute, Gudhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Fribäck to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Niklas Söderlund notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren. Sverker Lindgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Gudhem booed when Dikanäs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilgot Sundén didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Torsten Nordström from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Hannes Sörman's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Billy Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gudhem's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Dahlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hannes Sörman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dikanäs's Hannes Sörman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Fribäck in the 22nd minute of play. If Folke Fribäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Malcolm Anundsson made a precise shot to the right of Sverker Lindgren. Gudhem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dikanäs's Hannes Sörman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Lagerberg in the 33rd minute of play. Sverker Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Anundsson in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Gudhem got a freekick which was hit by Birger Rydelius. Per Lundström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sverker Lindgren having to make a save. Sverker Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Anundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half Dikanäs were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
53 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Bäcklin came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Billy Dahlberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hannes Sörman was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Sverker Lindgren made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Stig Haeger sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Anundsson came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Folke Fribäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hannes Sörman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sverker Lindgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig Haeger in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute, Folke Fribäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gudhem's Billy Dahlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malcolm Anundsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Lindgren having to interfere. Hannes Sörman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Fribäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Dahlberg in the 82nd minute of play forced Dikanäs's goalkeeper Hannes Sörman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Bäcklin in the 83rd minute of play forced Gudhem's goalkeeper Sverker Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Malcolm Anundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Gudhem booed when Dikanäs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Bäcklin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dikanäs eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
