Freddie Lundqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Snell's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. A collision led to Röda Stjärnan getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Algot Bergfeldt hit a great ball. The supporters of Röda Stjärnan booed when Valbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Hagström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harry Nordal hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, William Gummeson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Freddie Lundqvist, 2-0. In the 35th minute Sven Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claes Runeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Lundgren having to interfere. Victor Snell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Victor Snell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Lundqvist was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sven Martinsson made the kick off in the second half. William Gummeson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, William Gummeson put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Freddie Lundqvist. Röda Stjärnan's Freddie Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Snell in the 65th minute of play. Sven Martinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fritz Svartengren in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddie Lundqvist saved Röda Stjärnan from getting behind. William Gummeson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddie Lundqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Freddie Lundqvist came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Valbo's Victor Snell. But to his dismay, Victor Snell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0.
