In the 8th minute, Hubert Wiklund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sysslebäck BK's Jan-Olof Spetz got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jan-Olof Spetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Fredriksson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Peter Ström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thomas Skark might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pelle Nordal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Skark ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Skark in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pelle Nordal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Sysslebäck BK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jan-Olof Spetz hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Jan-Olof Spetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Ström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hubert Wiklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, Upplands Väsby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Kullander to maneuver through the defense. Upplands Väsby IF's Peter Ström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Upplands Väsby IF from getting a goal against them. If Jan-Olof Spetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Olof Spetz scored 1-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Ström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Josef Fredriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hubert Wiklund to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sysslebäck BK's goalkeeper Pelle Nordal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Skark. The supporters of Upplands Väsby IF booed when Sysslebäck BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Thomas Skark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sysslebäck BK's Rikard Wikander got a free kick in the 61st minute. Jörgen Söder charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörgen Söder the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jörgen Söder hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Josef Fredriksson came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Sysslebäck BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Fredriksson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Upplands Väsby IF's zone, Jan-Olof Spetz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Ström came out of the goal and Jan-Olof Spetz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Jan-Olof Spetz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Ström was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Josef Fredriksson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Upplands Väsby IF's Peter Ström. Peter Ström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thomas Skark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Upplands Väsby IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
