Erik Abrahamsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nikanton FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wictor Torstensson in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Ugla saved Nikanton FC from getting behind. Erik Abrahamsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carl Öberg in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Robin Eckegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Ugla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grängesberg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ian Andersson in the 26th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 55 minutes, Aron Norberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grängesberg and the Nikanton FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
