After 19 played minutes SAIPA got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Andreasson. Edwin Haegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Skräddare in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Eldsberga BK's Lucas Lekberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin Haegg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alex Skräddare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Skräddare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Skräddare in the 33rd minute of play forced SAIPA's goalkeeper Edwin Haegg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Erik Spetz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tord Hult in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute, Rickard Andberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kim Damm to make the kick off. Eldsberga BK's Karl-Erik Spetz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Damm in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Patrik Browald was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eldsberga BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAIPA the free kick. After 57 played minutes Eldsberga BK got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Browald. Karl-Erik Spetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Hult, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alex Skräddare was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Eldsberga BK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With his leg Edwin Haegg managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Eldsberga BK's Alex Skräddare fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 69 minutes into the game, Eldsberga BK's Alex Skräddare nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin Haegg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 73rd minute, Rickard Andberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marc Björling kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Tord Hult managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAIPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Hult was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Erik Spetz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Eldsberga BK's zone, Kim Damm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Erik Spetz came out of the goal and Kim Damm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The SAIPA supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Eldsberga BK's performance. The match ended with a win for Eldsberga BK.
