Carl Wiklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Lucas Forssell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Besiktas JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Forssell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erling Sundberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carl Wiklund in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pär Sörman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carl Wiklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pär Sörman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Besiktas JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Thorsberg to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Besiktas JK's goalkeeper Pär Sörman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Wiklund. Erling Sundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erling Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Forssell, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Patrik Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Patrik Hermansson came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Besiktas JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrik Hermansson couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Lucas Forssell made a precise shot to the right of Erling Sundberg. Tormestorp IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Jesper Strömberg hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Marc Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Marc Arvidsson put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pär Sörman. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrik Hermansson got free with Erling Sundberg in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marc Arvidsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pär Sörman having to interfere. Pär Sörman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Wiklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes, Bertil Salqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Besiktas JK and the Tormestorp IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pär Sörman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Arvidsson's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Marc Arvidsson struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Pär Sörman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tormestorp IFK. After having played for 97 minutes, Marc Arvidsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tormestorp IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Arvidsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
