When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Egon Vennerkvist put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Sören Forsberg. In the 72nd minute Karl-Johan Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Forsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egon Vennerkvist's shot from short distance in the 75th minute.
