After 10 minutes of play, IFK Malmö's Sigvard Berglund made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bo Moberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Bjurholm BK getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jim Jelm hit a great ball. Douglas Österberg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A hard shot 18 in the game by Sigvard Berglund from a close distance when the talented Bo Moberg managed to make a qualified save. Bjurholm BK's players were relieved. When Inge Arvidsson came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the IFK Malmö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inge Arvidsson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Bjurholm BK's zone, Inge Arvidsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Moberg came out of the goal and Inge Arvidsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bo Moberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inge Arvidsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bo Moberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Arvidsson in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inge Arvidsson in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bo Moberg saved Bjurholm BK from getting behind. Sigvard Berglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigvard Berglund got free with Bo Moberg in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jan-Erik Andreasson fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bjurholm BK's protests and gave Jan-Erik Andreasson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bjurholm BK's Jan-Erik Andreasson got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Bengt Grelsson made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes IFK Malmö got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Ödmann. In the 56th minute of the game Bjurholm BK's Daniel Lindqvist made a superb shot at goal which Mats Asmundsson with some effort managed to grab by the crossbar. Simon Bivall's late challenge caught a Bjurholm BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Bivall helped the player get up and apologised. Bo Moberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, one of Bjurholm BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bjurholm BK. Douglas Österberg hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, Rutger Felin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Malmö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bjurholm BK the free kick. Rutger Felin kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Berglund in the 75th minute of play forced Bjurholm BK's goalkeeper Bo Moberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Vennersten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mats Asmundsson having to make a save. Inge Arvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Sigvard Berglund managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Malmö's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigvard Berglund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bo Moberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglas Österberg charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Österberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Sigvard Berglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Berglund in the 97th minute of play forced Bjurholm BK's goalkeeper Bo Moberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IFK Malmö's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
