Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Wictor Martinsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joakim Fernkvist got free with Adam Högman in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Martinsson in the 10th minute of play forced Rejmyre's goalkeeper Björn Samuelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes, Tibro's Karl-Magnus Wiklund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Björn Samuelsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tibro reached it. After a rather tough play, Tibro's Rikard Kihlman got a free kick in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joakim Fernkvist in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Högman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Christer Kråk came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Tibro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christer Kråk couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Tibro's zone, Thor Westerstrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Högman came out of the goal and Thor Westerstrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Wictor Martinsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christer Kråk took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Björn Samuelsson. Björn Samuelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Adam Högman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Tholsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joakim Fernkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thor Westerstrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Adam Högman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Tibro got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Magnus Wiklund. Thor Westerstrand took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Högman. Adam Högman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Björn Samuelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tage Anselius, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, Wictor Martinsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christer Kråk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Björn Samuelsson made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thor Westerstrand in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Högman saved Tibro from getting behind. Thor Westerstrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Högman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Rejmyre booed when Tibro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rikard Kihlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pär Dahlkvist was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Wictor Martinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tibro's supporters rose to their feet, but Wictor Martinsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Björn Samuelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wictor Martinsson hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
