The crowd rose to their feet as Bunkeflostrand's André Kinell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stig Lindgren. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. The supporters of Knohult IF booed when Bunkeflostrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Bergqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Nordstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Påk in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Knohult IF's Stig Lindgren got control of the ball when Inge Berglund tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Knohult IF getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Christoffer Ekeberg hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Inge Berglund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Stig Lindgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sture Pihlwall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Johannes Påk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Påk got free with Kurt Nordstedt in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pär Öberg during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot 65 in the game by Johannes Påk from a close distance when the talented Kurt Nordstedt managed to make a qualified save. Bunkeflostrand's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Knohult IF's zone, Inge Berglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig Lindgren came out of the goal and Inge Berglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Bunkeflostrand's Sture Pihlwall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig Lindgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sture Pihlwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Lindgren having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bunkeflostrand's zone, Johannes Påk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Nordstedt came out of the goal and Johannes Påk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gunnar Magnusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Nordstedt having to interfere. The supporters of Knohult IF booed when Bunkeflostrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Bredberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Knohult IF's Mikael Holmstedt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Johannes Påk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The attack was good, but when Johannes Påk in the 85th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Sture Pihlwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Stig Lindgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Knohult IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Pihlwall came free, but Stig Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Johannes Påk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knohult IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Påk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Nordstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inge Berglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Knohult IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bunkeflostrand.
