Inge Berglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herman Ekegren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inge Berglund ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Haparanda getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Elof Asmundsson hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the game, André Kinell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bunkeflostrand's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haparanda the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Bunkeflostrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Kinell to maneuver through the defense. Börje Grelssons short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Kurt Nordstedt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Börje Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Börje Grelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haparanda's supporters rose to their feet, but Börje Grelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Nordstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Maximilian Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Lundgren charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mattias Lundgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Haparanda's Mattias Lundgren got a free kick in the 34th minute. Sture Pihlwall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Haparanda's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Pihlwall came free, but Herman Ekegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herman Ekegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Berglund in the 43rd minute of play. Herman Ekegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Berglund in the 47th minute of the match.

The supporters of Haparanda booed when Bunkeflostrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Giliusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Mattias Lundgren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kurt Nordstedt skillfully saved the ball. After taking down the ball on Haparanda's corner Mattias Lundgren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kurt Nordstedt quite easily take care of the ball. Herman Ekegren made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Inge Berglund sent off a good shot on target. Inge Berglund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th match minute, Bunkeflostrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Bergqvist to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Börje Grelsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Nordstedt was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Börje Grelsson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kurt Nordstedt. Maximilian Sjögren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Kurt Nordstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Nordstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximilian Sjögren, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Haparanda's goalkeeper Herman Ekegren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inge Berglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herman Ekegren having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Bunkeflostrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sture Pihlwall to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Börje Grelsson put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kurt Nordstedt. In the 94th minute Sture Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Ekegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
