Ernst Stenkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Knohult IF's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Klementsson came free, but Stig Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heby's Rolf Klementsson got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johannes Påk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ernst Stenkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Rolf Klementsson made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Heby's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Magnusson came free, but Ernst Stenkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Johannes Påk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knohult IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Påk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Rolf Klementsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stig Lindgren. The goal made the score 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolf Klementsson in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig Lindgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Knohult IF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Bernt Kjellman hit a great ball. Stig Lindgren made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Peter Lundin sent off a good shot on target. Gunnar Magnusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Stenkvist having to interfere. After 84th play minutes Johannes Påk shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Ernst Stenkvist and just under the crossbar into goal. Knohult IF's Johannes Påk got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heby's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
