One of Madagaskar FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Djurgårdens IF:s goal. 9 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Olofsson came free, but Alfred Låsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Åke Nordgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Lundkvist in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aron Bark in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils-Åke Nordgren saved Madagaskar FC from getting behind. The supporters of Djurgårdens IF booed when Madagaskar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Sikström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Sikström hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Per-Erik Asklund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Låsberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aron Bark in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils-Åke Nordgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Djurgårdens IF's zone, Olof Olofsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Låsberg came out of the goal and Olof Olofsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Olofsson in the 29th minute of play forced Djurgårdens IF's goalkeeper Alfred Låsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hans Lundkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Bjurström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nils-Åke Nordgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Aron Bark recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nils-Åke Nordgren. Aron Bark showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. If Aron Bark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madagaskar FC's Nils-Åke Nordgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Madagaskar FC from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olof Olofsson made a kick off. Hans Lundkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Nordgren having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Fred Sikström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madagaskar FC and the Djurgårdens IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fred Sikström hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Madagaskar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Lundkvist came free, but Nils-Åke Nordgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Djurgårdens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Madagaskar FC the free kick. A collision led to Djurgårdens IF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Anton Dalberg hit a great ball. Per-Erik Asklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Erik Asklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Låsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. When Madagaskar FC's Olof Olofsson in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nils-Åke Nordgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Lundkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Djurgårdens IF were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Madagaskar FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Linus Forsberg took the corner. Djurgårdens IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
