Hällnäs IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Dahlgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Bäckström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 21 minutes, Gösta Sandström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hällnäs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Sandström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Åsljunga IK's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Dahlgren came free, but Ingmar Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jens-Erik Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Agne Boberg came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Åsljunga IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agne Boberg couldn't finish the play. When Åsljunga IK's Jens-Erik Fransson in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hällnäs IF's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Hällnäs IF's Kevin Askelöf got control of the ball when Agne Boberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Åsljunga IK's Ingmar Bäckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Åsljunga IK from getting a goal against them. Dan Gulliksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gösta Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingmar Bäckström having to interfere. Kasper Malmström hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Kevin Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agne Boberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Jens-Erik Fransson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åsljunga IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Erik Fransson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Askelöf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Erik Fransson in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Askelöf saved Hällnäs IF from getting behind. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
