With a little luck, Fristad's Elof Walroth got control of the ball when Ted Bark tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Fristad booed when Åseda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Åke Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Fristad were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lennart Kielberg struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Elof Walroth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åseda. Björn Aleberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Bergqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Kielberg in the 59th minute of play forced Fristad's goalkeeper Elof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lennart Kielberg in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elof Walroth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ted Bark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Elof Walroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Björn Aleberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthon Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fristad's goalkeeper Elof Walroth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Björn Aleberg made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jonathan Arenberg sent off a good shot on target. If Lennart Kielberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute.
