Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vilgot Larsson kicked off to start the match. Nils-Emil Kinnman's late challenge caught a Grömsta BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Emil Kinnman helped the player get up and apologised. Nils-Emil Kinnman kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Finspång IFK's zone, Eddie Jakobsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaf Hägert came out of the goal and Eddie Jakobsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ingemar Persson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustaf Hägert. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. In the 14th minute Per-Åke Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beržas Biknius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grömsta BK's Beržas Biknius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Åke Göransson in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Åke Göransson in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beržas Biknius saved Grömsta BK from getting behind. Flavio Eate charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavio Eate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Grömsta BK got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Eate. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Mattsson in the 22nd minute of play forced Grömsta BK's goalkeeper Beržas Biknius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Grömsta BK's Ingemar Persson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gustaf Hägert. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. After 29 minutes, Ivan Pettersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finspång IFK and the Grömsta BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivan Pettersson hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Eddie Jakobsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gustaf Hägert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Falk kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Per-Åke Göransson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beržas Biknius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Beržas Biknius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Knut Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Vilgot Larsson made a precise shot to the right of Gustaf Hägert. Finspång IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Eddie Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per-Åke Göransson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustaf Hägert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Jakobsson in the 55th minute of the match. Knut Mattsson took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beržas Biknius. Beržas Biknius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Knut Mattsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Beržas Biknius made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Vilgot Larsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustaf Hägert was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Ingemar Persson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaf Hägert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilgot Larsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilgot Larsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Åke Göransson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Beržas Biknius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 87th match minute, Finspång IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Bennet to maneuver through the defense. When Grömsta BK's Vilgot Larsson in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Finspång IFK's goalie prevented a goal. Grömsta BK's Beržas Biknius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Grömsta BK from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Grömsta BK had won after a very even match.
