Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Svante Bryngelsson kicked off to start the match. After 4th play minutes Lars Engström shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ted Mellin and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Lars Engström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ted Mellin was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Lars Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ted Mellin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ted Mellin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Engström's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Tage Hermansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Mellin having to make a save. After having played for 22 minutes, Lars Engström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skånetoppen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Engström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Skånetoppen's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Danielsson came free, but Alfons Ståhlman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Robin Hake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tage Hermansson came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Skånetoppen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tage Hermansson couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute Lars Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Mellin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tage Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lars Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Mellin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Bokelund in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tage Hermansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tage Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ted Mellin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Tage Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skånetoppen's supporters rose to their feet, but Tage Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Mellin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Skoglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ted Mellin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tage Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tage Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Tage Hermansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Bergendahl's late challenge caught a Skånetoppen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Bergendahl helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Frank Bergendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Tage Forssell sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vendelsö Af Malm's Ted Mellin didn't even have to move. Ted Mellin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tage Hermansson in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, Vendelsö Af Malm's Ted Mellin got control of the ball when Tage Hermansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tage Hermansson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ted Mellin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skånetoppen. After 80 minutes, Elliott Danielsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vendelsö Af Malm and the Skånetoppen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aaron Blixt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Mellin having to make a save. Jan Bokelund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tage Hermansson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ted Mellin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skånetoppen. When Aaron Blixt came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Skånetoppen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Blixt couldn't finish the play. If Jan Bokelund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Skånetoppen played a much better game than Vendelsö Af Malm and deserved their victory. The Vendelsö Af Malm players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
