The audience was convinced that Kent Pil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claes Kilstedt was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Marcus Morat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Claes Kilstedt made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Marcus Morat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claes Kilstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Långserud's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marcus Morat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kent Pil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claes Kilstedt came out and tried to block the shot, but Kent Pil slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent Pil to make the kick off. Långserud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jonstorp the free kick.
