The supporters of Axbom BK booed when Hamra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Wassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Axbom BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 9th match minute, Hamra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Wassenius to maneuver through the defense. Bernt Lindblom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Nordstedt in the 12th minute of play. Axbom BK's Bernt Lindblom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Hedling in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Karl-Michael Hedling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Michael Hedling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Axbom BK's Bernt Lindblom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Nordstedt in the 16th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Hamra's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Lundqvist came free, but Björn Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hamra's Ulf Nordstedt got a free kick in the 26th minute. Bernt Lindblom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Nordstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Karl-Michael Hedling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Bernt Lindblom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ulf Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Axbom BK's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Simonsson came free, but Bernt Lindblom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes Axbom BK got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Joensson. Karl-Michael Hedling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Bernt Lindblom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Hamra's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lars Boström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulf Nordstedt to make the kick off. When Lars Boström came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Axbom BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Boström couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Axbom BK's goalkeeper Bernt Lindblom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Karl-Michael Hedling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamra's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Michael Hedling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernt Lindblom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Axbom BK's zone, Ulf Nordstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Lindblom came out of the goal and Ulf Nordstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernt Lindblom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Nordstedt in the 58th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Karl-Michael Hedling got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Karl-Michael Hedling scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernt Lindblom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Karl-Michael Hedling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernt Lindblom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Nordstedt in the 74th minute of play. Henrik Lundqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Björn Ekrot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hamra's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Axbom BK had won, even though Hamra had held more of the ball.
