Spectators: 7088 (Terracing: 5463, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Ivan Groth started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 10th minute Ivan Groth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Groth in the 15th minute of play forced Spånga United's goalkeeper Jonas Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Spånga United's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Groth came free, but Jonas Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spånga United's Jonas Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Arenius in the 25th minute of play. Sven-Olof Lindqvist's late challenge caught a Hällefors IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Olof Lindqvist helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Spånga United got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Lindqvist. Hällefors IF's Bernt Arenius got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 34 minutes, Sivert Pålsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spånga United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sivert Pålsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Drake charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ralf Drake the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hällefors IF getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ralf Drake hit a great ball. If Bernt Arenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Sivert Pålsson made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Pålsson in the 52nd minute of play forced Hällefors IF's goalkeeper Kåre Dahlgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 played minutes Spånga United got a freekick which was hit by Vilhelm Kilman. Ivan Groth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 60 minutes, Bernt Arenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hällefors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernt Arenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sören Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ralf Drake was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Hällefors IF's Ralf Drake got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th match minute, Hällefors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Olsmann to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes, Spånga United's Egon Hermansson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kåre Dahlgren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Spånga United reached it. Sivert Pålsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Pålsson in the 74th minute of play forced Hällefors IF's goalkeeper Kåre Dahlgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Hansson got in the 76th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kåre Dahlgren handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Hällefors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Johansson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hällefors IF's Ivan Groth got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
