When Ulf Nordstedt, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kåre Dahlgren was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hällefors IF's Andreas Olsmann got a free kick in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Hällefors IF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Michael Hedling came free, but Kåre Dahlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulf Nordstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Hällefors IF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Bernt Arenius hit a great ball. Bernt Areniuss short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Björn Ekrot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bernt Arenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ivan Groth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Björn Ekrot was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 28thth minute of the game Ulf Nordstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hällefors IF's Kåre Dahlgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th match minute, Hamra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Viklund to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Groth in the 30th minute of play forced Hamra's goalkeeper Björn Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Ulf Ahlbeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Groth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Björn Ekrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hällefors IF's Andreas Olsmann got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Edgar Simonsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Michael Hedling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kåre Dahlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hällefors IF's Andy Danielsson got a free kick in the 44th minute. Frans Boström, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulf Nordstedt to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Olsmann during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andreas Olsmann was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Kåre Dahlgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamra. When Bernt Arenius fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällefors IF's protests and gave Bernt Arenius a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hällefors IF getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bernt Arenius hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Ulf Nordstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
