The tension between the Horred and the Alnarp players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Ture Hjortberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Alnarp getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Fabian Bolin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Johansson in the 12th minute of play forced Horred's goalkeeper Joakim Askestät to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Askestät stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Johansson's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Erik Johansson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Erik Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alnarp's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Johansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joakim Askestät breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horred's Joakim Askestät played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Ros in the 21st minute of play. Alnarp's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Svante Vidman scored to the left of an out of position Patrik Nordlander, making the score, 1-2. Joakim Askestät made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Johansson in the 33rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Erik Johansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joakim Askestät was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. If Frank Ros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Erik Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Alnarp booed when Horred was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Andersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Ros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joakim Askestät having to make a save. 55 minutes into the match, Frank Ros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joakim Askestät. Horred's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Ros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 60 minutes into the game, Kristian Andersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horred's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alnarp the free kick. Kristian Andersson kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Horred's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Johansson came free, but Joakim Askestät reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Horred's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peter Westerstrand was slow to take the kick. During this time Alnarp's players had a chance to rest. Joakim Askestät showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Johansson in the 71st minute of the match. Erik Johansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Ture Hjortberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Erik Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Alnarp's Fabian Bolin got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Frank Ros came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Alnarp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Ros couldn't finish the play. After having played for 86 minutes, Rolf Alrot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alnarp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Alrot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svante Vidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Nordlander having to interfere. Alnarp's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
